[New York, NY – March 1, 2024] Mackenzie Shrieve returns with her new music video “Good Lighting” out today.

The video, co-directed by Shrieve and her producer Nat Jenkins, takes place in Fort Greene restaurant Dinner Party where Mackenzie reminisces about a fleeting relationship, people who have a deep connection and want to have a good time together, but are only around for the good stuff.
Starring opposite Mackenzie in a string of vignettes is singer-songwriter and actress Jane Bruce (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Jagged Little Pill, Law & Order). The story, shot by Benjy Berkowitz, follows the two across multiple dinner dates as they talk, dance, and play backgammon while a present day Mackenzie looks back on these times with both regret and ironic hopefulness.
Mackenzie also recently filmed a performance of “Good Lighting” as her submission to the NPR Tiny Desk Contest 2024. Watch the live performance, also shot at Dinner Party, HERE.

Mackenzie’s EP In the After, released on October 20th, is the final installment of her trilogy which started in 2020 with the release of the single “In the Before,” followed by her debut album In the While in 2021. The first single from the EP was released in August, “Bug Bites,” a duet with Janna Jamison. It was followed by single and video “So Damn Pretty.”
