[New York, NY – April 18, 2019] – Today Mackenzie Shrieve releases her highly anticipated debut EP, via the Satsuma Collective. Listen here.

“A lovely collection of multi-mood songs that deserves to be listened to in full, and a lot!”

Karla Harris of “When the Horn Blows

Running in My Bed is now available on all platforms worldwide and features 5 songs written over the past year and a half. Along with her collaborators – producer/multi-instrumentalist Nat Jenkins and engineer/executive producer David Turk – Mackenzie has crafted these songs into an ode to New York City, the forests of Lake Tahoe, and old friends and lovers.

“‘Androgyny’ is stunning exposition of a personal struggle to belong to this world, when there are not yet words for who you are.”

Following the success of her debut single “Bitter to Me”, Mackenzie played with her band in front of a packed house at Pianos and Rockwood and performed with fellow NYU students at the Gallatin Arts Festival. The record features a number of collaborations with musicians such as Marlo Shankweiler, guitarist in the NYC-based band Melt, and others.

“This record acts as my lyrical journal that has now been turned into music. Creating this has helped me cope, process, and re-experience incredibly crucial moments. Making music and being a part of the community that surrounds it is my version of real life magic. Sharing this is exhilarating and leaves me feeling so open! I hope it transports you. I invite you to listen vulnerably, adventurously, and honestly!”
