As a recording and mixing engineer, David Turk draws on a breadth of influences. A Los Angeles native, he began as a classically-trained violinist, and after college, trained in some of the best indie and jazz recording studios in New York City.
He has had the great fortune to work with engineers at those studios such as Patrick Dillett (Mary J Blige, Sufjan Stevens, St. Vincent) and Nic Hard (Snarky Puppy, Becca Stevens). Their influences taught him a creative curiosity and flexibility across genres, helping him best serve all of Satsuma’s artists.
